Well, our precious little son is sure growing fast! 
Yesterday, he rolled over from his back to his tummy! He had been getting most of the way there for a week, but he would get stuck on his side. But he did it yesterday and today. You can read more about it here.

Monday, December 17th, 2007We’ve been getting a lot of Christmas cards, Christmas photos, and newsletters from friends and family this year. It makes me want to make all these things and mail it out to our friends and family too, but I’m too lazy and it’s too late. 
 I think the same mentality applies to decorating for Christmas at our house.  Since we’ve been married, we haven’t had a Christmas tree up; we just use a houseplant as our “tree” to put presents under*. Last year, we at least made an effort to decorate the houseplant with some ornaments; this year, we haven’t even opened our ornament box! I’m hoping that one day, we’ll get more into the spirit of things and decorate**.
This year, we’re heading down to nice warm Houston to see my family. I’m super excited because it will be the first time for a lot of my family and friends to see Sean (including Uncle Charlie, my brother).  I’m also excited to go back to Houston because one of my best friends, Betty, is getting married!  YAY!
* Another reason for our lack of decoration is because we haven’t been home for Christmas; we’re either at my parents’ house or Nat’s parents’ house.
** I think having Sean is a good motivation.

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007One of our dearest friends, Crystal, has been showing Sean how to do raspberries ever since he was born. Crystal’s teaching finally paid off during Thanksgiving break! 
 Unfortunately, Sean hasn’t performed his raspberries to his teacher yet, but we caught him doing it tonight! We now have video proof that he can do it just for Crystal, but we know that she’d much rather see it live and in person!

Monday, December 3rd, 2007I thought the loyal readers out there would like to have an update to the exciting lives of the Thompson’s in Champaign.  Well, it’s not actually that exciting. Since we’ve gotten back from Colorado, we’ve tried to get back into the swing of things in Champaign. It took me about a week before I felt like I was out of “vacation” mode; Nat, however, was pretty much back to work in two days.  That man’s a machine, I tell you!
A few days ago, we raked the leaves in our backyard just in time for the last free yard waste pickup day. Unfortunately, the willow tree hadn’t finish dropping all of its leaves, but we decided we’ll wait until spring to do that cleanup (it’s getting too cold in Champaign to do much more yard work!).
Our next big project is picking out Christmas presents for our family. Â I think that it’s going to be harder than raking the leaves!
