Slideshow (by Nat)

Friday, September 28th, 2007

One thing Ramona really wanted at our wedding was a slide show with pictures of us growing up and us dating. In the midst of everything the slideshow was never made. So for her birthday last April I decided to start putting one together. I finally collected enough pictures and did the editing. I uploaded a copy to share with everyone. Because youtube only allows 10 minute videos I broke it into two parts about 6 minutes each.

Recap of Family Visit (by Ramona)

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

We had a great time with Nat’s family this weekend.  The grandparents couldn’t get enough of Sean. :)   They spent a lot of time holding him and talking to him.  Uncle Ethan had his chance to hold and play with Sean as well.  Uncle Ethan was a little timid with holding Sean at first, but with some guidance from dad and I, he got more used to holding Sean.  Sean rewarded Uncle Ethan’s affections by pooping in his lap.  One time Sean even pooped on Uncle Ethan! :)

Nat’s parents left on Sunday after church, but Uncle Ethan stayed until Monday.  I think Nat really enjoyed the extra day with his little brother.  They had a chance to play soccer, Cities and Knights, and video games together.  What can bring two brothers closer than killing zombies, right? :)

More Visitors (by Ramona)

Nat’s parents and brother are coming into town this weekend! :)   Yay!  It will be the first time that Sean will be meet Uncle Ethan.  I think that Sean has grown quite a bit since Nat’s parents visited him.  I put up some new pictures, and as you can see, Sean is developing quite a nice double (almost triple?) chin. :)

Food Glorious Food (by Nat)

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

I just wanted to write a post thanking everyone for all of the food that has been given to us. Since Sean was born Ramona and I have only prepared 3 or 4 dinners ourselves. The rest of the meals have been provided by friends and family. I think we still have one or two things in the freezer and some leftovers in the fridge. What a great blessing it has been!

Canada, Eh? (by Ramona)

Nat will be in Montreal this coming Monday to Thursday.  He’s presenting a poster in the top conference in his area (hooray!).  I think it will be a great time for him to network and get his research out there.  :)

On the other hand, I’m nervous about Nat leaving and having to take care of Sean by myself.  :(   During the day, it’s nice to have Nat around when I just need an hour or two break away from Sean.  Also during the day, I’ve been needing some reassurance and confidence as a mom–specifically, reading/differentiating Sean’s hunger cues vs tired/fussy fues–and Nat has been able to provide that for me.  At night, it’s nice to have Nat go get Sean, change him, and just to have him there physically so I don’t feel like I’m alone.  I know that I will be able to survive the days that Nat’s gone, but it still leaves me a little anxious!

At Grandma’s Request

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

At my (Ramona’s) mom’s request, we’ve added more pictures of Sean:  the rest of month 1, and beginning of month 2.
As you may see from our photo albums, we take a lot of not-so-cute pictures of Sean.  We think it’s funny/amusing/amazing how red and angry he looks when turns into “monster” baby (basically crying to the point that it’s inconsolable) which is why there are a lot of pictures of him angry.  :P   We also like to take pictures of him when he has a weird face or pose.  Fortunately, we’re not professional photographers.  Speaking of which, here’s a link to some pictures that Dennis took of Sean.
